Man, 28, arrested over mysterious killings of four University of Idaho students

A suspect in the mysterious killings of four university students in Idaho has been arrested.

The individual was reportedly detained some 2,500 miles away in Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania.

He has been named as 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger.

Kaylee Goncalves, Maddie Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were stabbed to death in Moscow, Idaho in the early hours of 13 November in a case that left the small community where they lived desperate for answers.

The development comes following an investigation that had not yet yielded any arrests.

Arrest paperwork filed by Pennsylvania State Police said an individual was being held for extradition in a criminal homicide investigation based on an active arrest warrant for first degree murder issued by the Moscow Police Department and Latah County Prosecutor’s Office.
