Former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has given birth to her first child.
The 33-year-old professional dancer posted a picture of herself, her husband, and her newborn on Instagram on Christmas Day.
“Merry Christmas. Wishing you all a wonderful festive season and special memories with loved ones,” the caption read.
She announced she was expecting a child with her husband Marius Lepure in August.
Mabuse had previously said they stopped trying to conceive because it “just got too much”.
She met her Lepure when they became dance partners after she left South Africa for Nuremberg, Germany in 2012, where they competed together.
Mabuse won the BBC dance show in 2019 and 2020 with Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and comedian Bill Bailey, respectively, and last competed with former rugby player Ugo Monye.
She then went on to replace Doctor Who star John Barrowman as a judge on ITV’s Dancing On Ice last year.
Her sister Motsi, 42, had been a judge on the German version of Strictly, Let’s Dance, before joining the BBC series as a judge in 2019, replacing Dame Darcey Bussell. She commented on her sister’s post: “We love you”.
Among the other stars to wish her well on Instagram were comedian Katherine Ryan, BBC presenter Clara Amfo, and fellow dancers James Jordan and Diane Buswell.
