Sainsbury’s suffering ‘technical issues’ and is unable to fulfil ‘vast majority’ of online deliveries

Sainsbury’s has said it is suffering “technical issues affecting some stores” – impacting its ability to fulfil the “vast majority” of online deliveries today.

The supermarket chain said it was “experiencing technical issues affecting some stores, our Groceries Online service and our ability to contact customers”.

“Unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfil the vast majority of today’s Groceries Online deliveries,” they added.

Sainsbury’s said it was “working hard to fix the issue” and apologised to customers affected.

“We will contact customers proactively to rebook orders as soon as we can,” they said.

The supermarket also assured customers their personal data “will still be safe and secure even with the issues going on”.

It advised one affected customer to rebook their delivery from Monday onwards.
