Five arrested in murder inquiry after fatal stabbing

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in Teesside, Cleveland Police have said.

The man, 26, died on Hills Drive in Stockton-on-Tees at around midnight on Thursday.

The force said formal identification has not yet taken place, but the victim’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.

Detectives have been questioning five people as part of a murder investigation and they all remain in custody.

Cleveland Police says inquiries are continuing and officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
