Katie Price has pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order against her ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s fiancee Michelle Penticost.
The 44-year-old former glamour model appeared at Lewes Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
She previously denied breaching a restraining order against her ex-husband’s fiancee.
The mother-of-five wore a black coat, black leggings and white boots as she appeared before judge Stephen Mooney.
She was supported by her 33-year-old reality star fiance Carl Woods, who sat in the public gallery.
Price has been accused of breaching a restraining order by sending an abusive text to Ms Penticost.
She had been banned from contacting Ms Penticost directly or indirectly, under the terms of a five-year restraining order imposed at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on 3 June 2019.
The model was also fined £415 for a foul-mouthed “tirade of abuse” aimed at her during a row in a school playground.
Last month, before the end of proceedings, the judge warned the TV personality and businesswoman that she was “in very grave danger of going to prison,” adding: “I really hope I don’t see you here again.”
The prosecution had alleged that Price sent a message to Mr Hayler, describing his fiancee as a “gutter s***” and “c*****g w****”.
The text was apparently sent after Price became aware of an Instagram post put up by Ms Penticost about how she had been treated badly by other people and how to deal with it.
Ms Penticost said the post was not related to Price, according to the prosecution.
The court also heard that Price later sent messages to members of her family saying she had sent a text to her ex-husband.
“I sent that to Kieran lol,” one of the messages read.
The prosecution said that a family member then told her not to send any more messages.
When arrested on 21 January, the court heard that Price “made several comments saying she had done nothing wrong” and stated she had not contacted Ms Penticost directly and did not have her phone number.
When entering her plea before the court on 27 April, the TV personality said she was not guilty of indirectly contacting Michelle Penticost on 3 June 2019.
Breaching a protection order – such as a restraining order – carries a maximum prison term of five years.
Price also risks prison time for being arrested while on licence for her drink-drive crash last year.
She managed to avoid prison time for the crash, instead being handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year and a two-year driving ban.
If a person breaches the terms of their licence, they can be recalled to prison for the length of their suspended sentence.
However, in sentencing, the court will usually focus on the new crime and take the original term into consideration as an aggravating feature.
If convicted, Price could be potentially jailed for up to five years with the 16 weeks either running concurrently or on top of the main sentence.
